The Color Changing Silk Routine is a classic sucker trick routine. Loved by magicians, it works for stage, parlor, and even close-up performances—so there are countless different versions of its routine.

This is probably the cleanest and most convenient color-changing silk routine you'll ever see.

ILLUWIZARD’s Product Lead Ethan Yip fell for the Color Changing Silk Routine early in his magic journey—after seeing renowned American comedy magician Levent’s version. He studied other magicians’ takes, blending their strengths to keep it fun and clean.

1.There are no unnecessary fillers like picking up a magic wand or magic powder during the routine. The set includes a secret utility system that not only handles the dye tube invisibly within this routine but also allows you to cleanly vanish coins, balls, and other objects — one method with multiple uses

2.The dye tube used in it features a marking system—so even when you keep it in your pocket, you can quickly find the correct orientation right there.

3.This set includes everything needed for the routine—you just need to have a tailor handle it or do a simple modification yourself, and then you can start learning the routine.

The instructional video is personally filmed by Ethan Yip, covering the full working, complete script, and detailed handling.

FAQs About The Product
What you get?(Full Set)
The set includes a dye tube whose orientation can be identified by touch while it is in your pocket, one 30 × 30 cm white silk, one 30 × 30 cm red silk, one 45 × 45 cm half-red, half-white silk, and a system that allows you to dispose of the gimmick invisibly.
What You’ll Learn in This Tutorial
In the tutorial, you’ll learn the complete routine, including the essential moves, body turns, presentation and scripting, and how to secretly conceal the gimmick at the end.
Where can I perform this?
It is ideal for parlor and stage performances. If you don’t mind the more involved setup, you can even perform it in close-up or table-hopping situations, as it offers a 180-degree viewing angle.
Can the audience examine this prop?
At no point during the routine is there a natural opportunity for spectators to interrupt and ask to examine the props. The presentation is framed as though you are teaching the audience a magic trick, so they have no reason to want to inspect anything.

At the end, the red and white silks merge into a single half-red, half-white silk. Your hands are left completely clean and empty, and the final silk can be handed out for the audience to touch and examine—although we don’t believe this is really necessary.
Is this a consumable product?
This is not a consumable product and can be reused indefinitely. After each performance, be sure to remove the silks from the dye tube promptly, then fold and store them properly. With proper care, the entire set can last a lifetime.
